September 18, 2010 - 34th Annual Warren River 5K Walk/Run:
The 34th annual Warren Rives 5K will take to the streets of downtown High Point and neighboring residential communities on September 18. Sponsored by High Point Bank, this event raises scholarship funds for Heart Strides, a rehabilitation program for individuals recovering from heart and pulmonary events. The 12-week program greatly reduces the patient’s chance additional complications…but it costs around $3,200 per person. While insurance covers a bulk of the cost, the patient must provide a co-pay with every visit, making it a challenge for many people to afford.
